It is important this Festive season to be careful not to overindulge in the large amounts of food, drink and festivity that come our way. Make sure to do everything in balance, just because you are on holidays doesn’t mean your health is too. It is important to always remain conscious of the things we are consuming and the activities we are engaging in.

If you find yourself becoming overworked, tired or run down, make sure you take time out for yourself away from the big crowds and the overwhelming excitement. Many people often find themselves more stressed during the holiday period when it should be a time of relaxation and reconnection.

Make sure you appreciate that the things you do now don’t affect your health further down the track.

Some helpful tips from the team to keep you feeling your best

  • Remain hydrated, always remember to drink lots of water
  • Sit down and enjoy the family around you, instead of rushing around
  • Include lots of healthy recipes into your Christmas lunch
  • Enjoy the sweet stuff but don’t over indulge
  • Keep up regular, low intensity exercise.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year. Remember to do everything within reason and maintain a healthy balance in your life so you can kick off 2014 feeling fresh and ready.
