Restoring your body back to full heath is simple!

How?

By noticing allergies or food intolerances and understanding medication or supplement interactions  we can restore our bodies back to full health.

Checking for Food Intolerances

The first and simplest option is a diet evaluation during your initial Naturopathy consultation.

Many food intolerances present with certain symptoms related to:

  •  Certain foods
  •  Family of food species
  •  Chemicals in food e.g. wheat, dairy, nuts, soy, shellfish, citrus, salicylates, ammines.

The next step is to begin the  ‘Elimination Diet Procedure’ .

It is free and accurate, and teaches patients which food group symptoms stem from.

This entails discipline, requiring a patient to follow strict diet testing and eliminating procedures for at least 1 month.

There are other laboratory tests available for testing intolerances and you can discuss this with our practitioner.

  • Herbs
  • Spices
  • Foods
  • Chemicals
  • Additives
  • Toxins

How accurate are the tests?

The laboratory tests give a high indication of what foods are possibly triggering symptoms. Particularly for patients who were not able to identify their triggers through diet patterns or the elimination process.  After we receive the results we can then work out what the actual symptoms are from each group. E.g. as one food might trigger a skin reaction, or others may cause headaches, diarrhea, bloating or sneezing etc.

Treatments Available after discovered food intolerances

Once the food group has been removed for a few months treatments can then focus on assisting the stomach acid, liver function, stress, hormones, immune system and gut flora with specific herbal remedies.

Occasionally food intolerances are also induced from a virus, e.g. rota virus often causes dairy intolerance. The treatment can repair all systems so that eventually a patient can eat a small serve of the food every few days without a major crash in health symptoms.

Testing intolerances and treatment solutions can assist and be tailored for the elderly, adults and even your children.

How much are the test?

The tests range from free with a consultation up to $1100 depending on the level of testing. The average is approx. $425.

An initial consultation costs $120

A follow up consultation costs $85

How long do the tests take?

The actual test only takes a few minutes, and it takes approx.  2- 3 weeks to receive the results from any testing.
